Latte Art Sessions

Mastering latte art is more than just a skill; it’s a hallmark of great coffee. Creating intricate designs in your lattes not only elevates the visual appeal but also enhances the overall coffee experience for your customers or guests, leaving them impressed and deeply satisfied. The art of latte making can be approached in two distinct ways: Free pouring and Etching.

Free Pouring

Free pouring is the most common method for creating latte art. It involves pouring steamed milk directly into the espresso, using the flow of milk and the motion of the pitcher to create designs.

Popular Designs: Heart, Rosetta, Tulip, Swan.

Skill Level: This technique requires precise control over the milk quality and pour. This technic is often considered the foundation of latte art.

Etching

Etching involves using a fine tool, such as a latte art pen or stick, to draw intricate designs on the surface of the milk foam. It allows for detailed and complex artwork that might be difficult to achieve with pouring alone.

Popular Designs: Animal portraits, detailed flowers, holiday-themed patterns like pumpkins or Christmas trees.

Skill Level: Etching requires a steady hand and attention to detail, making it ideal for more elaborate designs.
